SCAF in Action –
Unleashing the Button Badges!

We believe that our values are beyond just words, but values that must be put in action. And with that belief, Great Substance launched the SCAF badges initiative on 3rd of August 2016, with a Treasure Hunt event at the office and tea time at a Café for site office colleagues. Laughter of excitement burst in the office with every employee going around looking for badges hidden in the office, requiring them to solve puzzles to win the badges. After the Treasure Hunt, Mr. Toh began sharing about the meaning of SCAF and methods to earn these badges throughout the rest of the year, crowning each month to onevalue beginning with Strong Accountability in August, Career Development in September, Adaptive to Change in October and finally Family Spirit in November.

The engagement doesn’t end there as the same sharing session by Mr. Toh was held in a café for colleagues on site. At the café, colleagues gathered and shared behaviours or practices that they can relate to SCAF to get a badge and be in the running to win the grand prize at the end of the year.

As an ongoing engagement to drive digital and social growth, the badges awarded are also posted on Facebook for easy access of information and to celebrate the achievement of every awarded employee, encouraging others to earn more values badges too. In turn, every employee is empowered to award badges to colleagues that live the values and at the end of the year, the Gold Badge holder for each Core Value will be given a grand prize.
